Privacy Policy
EDR LLC (“we,” “us,” or “our”) operates the Link Up AI mobile application and related services. This Privacy Policy explains what information we collect, how we use it, and the choices you have.
Information we collect
When you use Link Up AI, we may collect:
- Account information: email address, display name, username, and profile photo (uploaded to Firebase Storage or provided via Google Sign-In).
- Group and planning data: group memberships, availability, votes on dates and things to do, hangout areas, checklist items, ride plans, chat messages, meetup photos, and related scheduling activity stored in Cloud Firestore.
- Friends data: friend requests, friends lists, blocks, and group invites you send or receive.
- Push notification data: Firebase Cloud Messaging (FCM) device tokens and your notification preferences in the app.
- Authentication data: credentials and identifiers managed by Firebase Authentication, including when you sign in with email and password or Google.
- Purchase data: if you start a Link Up Pro trial or subscription, Apple, Google, and our payments partner RevenueCat process the purchase. We store the Pro status needed to unlock features. We do not store your full payment card number.
- Hangout areas you enter: place names and approximate coordinates you type or pick for group hangouts and things to do. We do not request GPS or track your device location.
- Crash reports: Firebase Crashlytics on iOS and Android collects crash logs to keep the app stable. We do not use Firebase Analytics or advertising analytics.
How we use information
We use the information above to:
- Create and manage your account, friends, and group memberships.
- Generate and rank meetup date suggestions and things to do for your groups.
- Send push notifications you have enabled (suggestions, votes, reminders, confirmations, messages, photos, and similar).
- Display profile photos, group photos, names, votes, and meetup photos to other members of groups you belong to.
- Provide Link Up Pro features you or a group member have purchased.
- Maintain security, prevent abuse, and improve the app.
Where data is stored
Data is stored and processed using Google Firebase services, including Firebase Authentication, Cloud Firestore, Firebase Cloud Storage, Firebase Cloud Messaging, and Firebase Crashlytics. Purchase status is processed with Apple, Google, and RevenueCat. Hangout search and map previews use Google Places and Maps on our servers. Pro things to do assist may use Google Gemini for search intents only. Firebase infrastructure may process data in the United States and other countries where Google operates.
Sharing
We do not sell your personal information. We share data only:
- With other members of groups you join (for example, your display name, profile photo, availability, votes, chat, checklist, rides, and photos within that group).
- With service providers that help us run the app (Google Firebase, RevenueCat, Google Places and Maps, Google Gemini for Pro things to do assist, and, if you use it, Google Sign-In), subject to their terms and privacy policies.
- When required by law or to protect rights, safety, and security.
Push notifications
You can control notifications in the app under Account, then Preferences, including a master switch, per category settings, and per group mute. If you disable notifications or revoke permission on the device, we will not send pushes to that device.
Calendar on your device
If you use calendar tools, the app may read or write events on the device calendar you choose. Event titles from your personal calendar stay on the device. We do not upload your full calendar to our servers.
Data retention and deletion
We retain your data while your account is active and as needed to provide the service. You may delete your account from within the app. Account deletion removes your user profile, cleans up your group memberships and related data, and deletes your profile photo from Storage, subject to routine backup and legal retention requirements. Meetup photos expire about a week after the hang.
Children
Link Up AI is not directed to children under 13 (or the minimum age required in your region). We do not knowingly collect personal information from children.
Your rights
Depending on where you live, you may have rights to access, correct, delete, or export your personal data, or to object to certain processing. Contact us using the details below and we will respond as required by applicable law.
Changes
We may update this Privacy Policy from time to time. We will post the revised policy on this page and update the effective date above.
