Privacy Policy
Link Up AI (“we,” “us,” or “our”) operates the Link Up AI mobile application and related services. This Privacy Policy explains what information we collect, how we use it, and the choices you have.
Information we collect
When you use Link Up AI, we may collect:
- Account information — email address, display name, and profile photo (uploaded to Firebase Storage or provided via Google Sign-In).
- Group and scheduling data — group memberships, availability preferences, votes (acceptances and vetoes), and related meetup scheduling activity stored in Cloud Firestore.
- Push notification data — Firebase Cloud Messaging (FCM) device tokens and your in-app notification preferences.
- Authentication data — credentials and identifiers managed by Firebase Authentication, including when you sign in with email/password or Google.
- Usage and diagnostic data — standard Firebase and platform analytics/diagnostics needed to operate, secure, and improve the service.
We do not collect phone numbers. That field was removed from the app and is not stored in your account profile.
How we use information
We use the information above to:
- Create and manage your account and group memberships.
- Generate and rank meetup date suggestions for your groups.
- Send push notifications you have enabled (suggestions, votes, reminders, confirmations).
- Display profile photos and names to other members of groups you belong to.
- Maintain security, prevent abuse, and improve the app.
Where data is stored
Data is stored and processed using Google Firebase services, including Firebase Authentication, Cloud Firestore, Firebase Cloud Storage, and Firebase Cloud Messaging. Firebase infrastructure may process data in the United States and other countries where Google operates.
Sharing
We do not sell your personal information. We share data only:
- With other members of groups you join (for example, your display name, profile photo, availability, and votes within that group).
- With service providers that help us run the app (Google Firebase and, if you use it, Google Sign-In), subject to their terms and privacy policies.
- When required by law or to protect rights, safety, and security.
Push notifications
You can control notifications in the app, including a master switch, per-category settings, and per-group mute. If you disable notifications or revoke permission at the OS level, we will not send pushes to that device.
Data retention and deletion
We retain your data while your account is active and as needed to provide the service. You may delete your account from within the app. Account deletion removes your user profile, cleans up your group memberships and related data, and deletes your profile photo from Storage, subject to routine backup and legal retention requirements.
Children
Link Up AI is not directed to children under 13 (or the minimum age required in your region). We do not knowingly collect personal information from children.
Your rights
Depending on where you live, you may have rights to access, correct, delete, or export your personal data, or to object to certain processing. Contact us using the details below and we will respond as required by applicable law.
Changes
We may update this Privacy Policy from time to time. We will post the revised policy on this page and update the effective date above.
