Terms of Service
These Terms of Service (“Terms”) govern your use of the Link Up AI mobile application and related services (collectively, the “Service”) operated by EDR LLC (“we,” “us,” or “our”). By creating an account or using the Service, you agree to these Terms.
Eligibility
You must be old enough to form a binding contract where you live and comply with applicable laws. The Service is not intended for children under 13.
Your account
- You are responsible for activity under your account and keeping your credentials secure.
- You agree to provide accurate information, including your display name and profile photo where required.
- You may sign in with email and password, Google Sign-In, or Sign in with Apple, as offered in the app.
- You may delete your account at any time from within the app.
Groups and content
Link Up AI helps private friend groups coordinate meetups. You are responsible for content you submit (names, photos, availability, votes, checklist items, ride plans, and messages shared through group features). Do not upload content that is illegal, harassing, infringing, or otherwise harmful.
There is no tolerance for objectionable content or abusive users. We filter obvious abuse in names, bios, and group chat. You can flag a message or profile in the app, and you can block a user. Blocking notifies us and removes that person's messages from your chats right away. We review reports within 24 hours and remove the content and the user who posted it when the report is valid.
Group admins may approve or deny join requests and manage members subject to rules in the app (for example, member limits and admin safeguards).
Link Up Pro
Date voting is free. Some features require Link Up Pro, including things to do voting, meetup photos, trip planning, calendar tools, unlimited groups you create, and groups up to 20 people. Any member with Pro can unlock things to do voting, meetup photos, and trip planning for the whole group. Other Pro tools, such as auto add to calendar, apply to that member’s own device.
Purchases, trials, and renewals are processed by Apple or Google through the store on your device. A 14 day free trial is offered where the store makes it available. Manage, cancel, or request a refund through your Apple or Google account, subject to that store’s rules. Prices and availability may vary by region.
Acceptable use
You agree not to:
- Use the Service for unlawful purposes or to violate others’ rights.
- Attempt to access accounts, groups, or data you are not authorized to access.
- Interfere with or disrupt the Service, including by automated scraping or abuse.
- Reverse engineer or misuse Firebase or other company integrations except as permitted by law.
Scheduling and notifications
Date suggestions, vote outcomes, and reminders are provided for convenience. We do not guarantee that any suggested time will work for every member or that notifications will always be delivered (for example, if you disable them or your device is offline).
Places and directions
Place names, addresses, map pins, and venue websites shown in the Service (including things to do suggestions and confirmed meetup places) are provided for convenience. They may be incomplete, outdated, or incorrect. When you tap Directions, we open a maps app or website you choose (such as Apple Maps, Google Maps, or Waze). We do not provide turn by turn navigation. Your use of those maps products is subject to their terms and policies.
Other companies’ services
The Service relies on Google Firebase (Authentication, Firestore, Storage, Cloud Messaging), RevenueCat for purchases, and, if you choose, Google Sign-In or Sign in with Apple. Place search and map previews may use Google Places and related Google Maps products. When you open Directions, navigation is provided by the maps app or website you choose. Your use of those services may also be subject to their terms and policies.
Intellectual property
We own the Service, including software, branding, and design, except for content you and other users provide. You retain ownership of content you submit, and you grant us a limited license to host and display it as needed to operate the Service (for example, showing your profile to group members).
Disclaimer
THE SERVICE IS PROVIDED “AS IS” AND “AS AVAILABLE” WITHOUT WARRANTIES OF ANY KIND, WHETHER EXPRESS OR IMPLIED, INCLUDING MERCHANTABILITY, FITNESS FOR A PARTICULAR PURPOSE, AND THAT THE SERVICE DOES NOT INFRINGE THE RIGHTS OF OTHERS. WE DO NOT WARRANT UNINTERRUPTED OR ERROR FREE OPERATION.
Limitation of liability
TO THE MAXIMUM EXTENT PERMITTED BY LAW, EDR LLC WILL NOT BE LIABLE FOR INDIRECT, INCIDENTAL, SPECIAL, CONSEQUENTIAL, OR PUNITIVE DAMAGES, OR ANY LOSS OF DATA, PROFITS, OR GOODWILL, ARISING FROM YOUR USE OF THE SERVICE. OUR TOTAL LIABILITY FOR ANY CLAIM RELATING TO THE SERVICE IS LIMITED TO THE GREATER OF (A) AMOUNTS YOU PAID US FOR THE SERVICE IN THE TWELVE MONTHS BEFORE THE CLAIM OR (B) USD $100.
Termination
You may stop using the Service at any time by deleting your account. We may suspend or terminate access if you violate these Terms or if we discontinue the Service, with notice where reasonable.
Changes
We may update these Terms from time to time. Continued use after changes become effective constitutes acceptance of the updated Terms. Material changes will be reflected on this page with an updated effective date.
Governing law
These Terms are governed by the laws of the United States and the State of California, without regard to conflict of law rules, except where mandatory local consumer protections apply.
